I have a jack russell dog.she weighs about 20 pounds and around 2 1/2 weeks ago she started loosing hair around her hip legs...a few days later she started getting raw from itching so much around these areas..she would scratch %26amp; rub against things till she made like a dog crying sound is the only way i know how to tell it..I used desiten on the raw red areas and in about three days the raw spots cleared up.but yesterday she got sick and was throwing up, not wanting to go outside and play or nothing.......today she has layed around walked outside peed then almost if she didn't have any strenth layd down and I carried her back in the house.shes breathing ok,not in alot of pain.but she just lays there she will wag her tail for me.her eyes look ok can Anybody please help me on what could be wrong with her? i'm taking her to the vet friday or monday, is there anything in the meantime I can do to make her feel comfortable?? till the vet sees her.she does eat cat food in the cans at times

You really need to get her into the vets before Friday. She's sick. I could be the cat food but your vet is the only one to tell you that. I would make sure she doesn't eat any more of it and give her plent of fresh clean water to drink.

Loss of energy is a not a good thing in a little dog.

Call your vet and see if they can see her tomorrow. Bring a stool sample in with you so they can check it for worms too.

She is very sick. She can't wait till Friday. She needs an emergency vet visit tonight. It could be a lot of things, including poisoning or any number of diseases. Vet care, now.

What brand of cat and dog food does she eat? It could be the Pet Recall.

You need to get her to the vet now. From what you're saying Friday may be too late. Call them again and let them know it's an emergency. Make her as comfortable as you can. The poor little thing. Please just call your vet asap. All the best;~(

Dogs should not eat cat food, theres too much protein in it for a dog to digest it properly. Just see the vest asap

Take her to the vet NOW - not Friday or Monday maybe - NOW.

The cat food won't hurt her. Sounds like she has a skin infection and needs to be seen asap. If her fur is falling off and she's itchy, then it's probably a skin infection. But I don't know about the vomiting.

Have you actually booked an appointment to see the vet?? Take her now! Call you vet right now and go see them. If she is a Jack, she is not 20 lbs. She would be more like 5 to 8 lbs. Being that small, they can easily become dehydrated and that's serious.

The skin irritation and the vomiting might not actually have anything to do with each other, it may just be coincidence but only a vet can tell you.

Stop giving the canned food. What kind did you give your dog. She could have also ate something that you didn't notice.

Don't wait for friday (it's been 2 1/2 weeks past since you notice this unsual behavior. One Human day is different from one dog day. Our one day could be 3-4 days to dogs). Take your dog to the vet ASAP. There are 24 hrs. vet for emergency or ASPCA hospital. If there's one nearby your place take it over there now. Also save that food you've been giving your dog. The vet might ask for it.

It could also be something else. Did your dog lose weight. How's your dog's appetite? How about the poop.

Give her some water so she won't get dehydrated for throwing up.

awww...poor puppy!

Yeah I'd take her now there should be some emergency pet clinics somewhere! That's kinda what happend to my dog, only they found he had cancer!

I would def. not wait til Friday! Take the poor pup now!!!!!
