Dog Lovers Unite!!!!! Tell me about your baby-dawg.?

Mine is a 4 year old female black Lab that I adopted from my local Humane Society whom I named Ana,short for B'Elanna, when she was 6 weeks old. She's got the sweetest temprament and would do anything if you'll just pet her. She follows me around the house, from room to room, and lays right at my feet, even at night as she insists on sharing the bed with me. When I brought her home I tried to teach her to sleep on the floor, but she sat at the edge of my bed and whined until I picked her up. She would then burrow right up the back of my neck, beneath my hair as I slept and snuggle with her new Mama. I had a near miss with her about two years ago when she got out and ran the neighborhood. She got ahold of something while she was out that was very toxic and nearly died. She spent almost a week at the vets on an IV drip and I cried for a week.

She's my best friend, like my child and I love her more than most of the people I've known in my life.

I live in Hawaii and I got my dog through pure fate. I had spent the whole day looking for a rottweiler. By the end of the day, I was in my car frustrated and driving home the 100 miles that I had traveled to get a dog that was not there when I got there. While driving past a lava feild (no houses or vegitation for miles) I seen a dog running across the feild near the road. I stoped my car and whent to see if the dog was alright and you guessed it, he was a rottweiler. He was scaird to death of me as it took me 30 min. of fallowing and talking to him before I could pet him. After 20 more min, I brought him to my car and drove him home. The dog had a ton of fleas, no dog tags and had obviously been mistreated. I took him home cleaned him up and now we are best friends (literaly). I take him every where I go and we even understand each others body language. Most people tell me that I spend to much time with my dog but, I also like him more than most people I meet.

he dog is 8 but she acts like she is a puppy. she is a golden reteriver and i love soo much. when my cat died she mourned it was so sad. my dog would walk around the house looking for her for months. when we bring out the cat carrier that he used to put her in my dog would run over to it to see if she was in it.

my dog loves EVERYONE and EVERYONE LOVES her!! everyone in my neighborhood knows her. oh and her name is Dixie and she is a pure breed dog we got her from a breeder when i was 6 so i like grew up with her. she was my height and taller whan i was 6 and 7. Dixie LOVES stuffed animals and hates fetching she is such a girl dog. she doesnt know how to put her head out of the window (LOL)

We have 6 week old Dachshunds at our house. They are longhaired, 4 are dapples and 2 are black/tan. So pretty, and into everything! 2 of the dapples have a bright blue eye.. very unique looking...We're keeping the mama of course, and one of the females.. the others are for sale :-(

wish we could keep them all....

my dog is 5 yrs. old turning 6. She is a boxer. She also loves people. And ever so cute!!! Even though she is 5, she still acts like a puppy!!!
