There is no such thing as a "totally" non-shedding dog. All dogs shed at least a little hair at one time or another, as do humans. There are however dogs that shed little to no hair. This is a list of breeds that shed little to no hair.

My sister raises Havenese and they don't shed. They are very exensive though. Like One thousand dollars each! they are adorable though. Cute and little and don't bark all the time like some dogs.
Either look up Havenese or her website is listed under Baree Kennels.

all.. if your dog sheds hair then it has a problem.
What Kind of Dogs Are there That Don't Shed Hair?
there are several different dogs that are hairless if your worried about shedding like Chinese Crested's.... you could also get a short haired terrier (from rat to staffordshire) because they have hair and not fur so the shedding is very minimal.... most importantly tho just make sure you do some research on the breed that you are considering before you buy him/her just because it lacks fur and good luck

Cockapoos are what you are looking for.

We just got a puppy a few weeks ago. While it is small, very cute, and does not shed, since its a puppy its not potty trained.
However, supposedly, they are very smart, so they learn quickly. While ours has learned to sit, it does still poop in the house.
If you want one thats house trained, you can get one thats 1 year old (or older), but then part of the fun of having a dog is getting it when its a puppy.

poodles don't shed or smell, not my dog of choice, but that's what you r looking for.

Dogs that have HAIR don't shed. It's dogs that havve fur that shed. But if you want a dog that doesn't shed your best bet is a poodle. But if you have kids a poodle is not a good choice. REmember, ther are different types of poodles. MAke sure you get a small breed, unless you plan on raising an extra large breed of dog.
