What is this dog mixed with?

I saw a dog recently at a pet store getting it's hair cut. I want to get one exactly like it but there is one problem, I don't know what type it is.

The best way I can describe it is that it looked like the "Look Who's Talking Now" male dog.

A better description is that it is a small to medium breed and it has brown/tan stringy straw typ hair. I have been told it is a mutt but I wanted to know what mixes are in it.

Two smaller breeds that I can think of that have straw and stringy type hair is a border terrier or cairn terrier

I found a picture of the movie dog on the Internet and based on your description, I believe you are talking about some type of terrier mix. Can't get more specific than that. Go to www.akc.org and look at dogs in the terrier group.
