Best type of dog??

I'm gonna get a dog, but I'm not sure which one would be best suited for me. Here are the following characteristics that the dog should have:

*Is no bigger that a basenji

*Doesn't bark alot

*Is easy to train

*Short hair (not too much shedding)

*Is good around older children

Mini or Standard Schnauzer. They don't shed but they have to be groomed periodically. I have a mini she only barks when necessary not incessantly. They are easy to train rank 12 in intelligence. short hair dog can shed alot too...my short hair lab/Shepherd mix shed more than my chow chow mix.
