Does hair dye kill Lice AND their eggs?

If so, what kind/color? I HAVE used the over the couter RID...etc... many times already. It is not working. Yes I spend 4 hours a night picking out eggs. I have tried Mayo, Olive oil, vinegar, vaseline. Nothing works. I have tried dog/flea shampoo. And yes I am cleaning EVERYTHING. The hair dye is the only thing i haven't tried but I keep hearing about it.

No it doesn't work, you have lice really bad then because my cousins had it and used Mayo and it worked!

Okay, first of all stop trying home made remedies. Go see a doctor and get an evaluation and a prescription. Also get a lice comb, it is really good. My friend has tried it on all of her kids and it works wonders. But please see a doctor. You may just be aggravating the situation.

No..you have to purchase special treatments of lice to get rid of it. The hair dye will actually make your hair furtherly damaged...so DON'T COLOR YOUR HAIR! =P

Lysol in the brown bottle... mix it into Prell shampoo 50/50 and be sure to leave on for 3 minutes or longer....

You could also try getting a perm... I've heard that stuff kills everything.

If your daughters are young and keep getting it you need to run all their stuffed toys through a very HOT dryer to help kill off the lice...

Spray everything in your house with Lysol Spray!
