My long haired chihuahua is lossing her hair!?

She is a yr old. I have had her since she was 2wks old. I had to make her puppy formula as well. So here is the problem

She will sit %26amp; bite @ her hair to the point where it looks like someone took a dog clippers to it. She scratches her eye so bad that her hair is totally gone. all she does is scratch. I have bathed her. She doesnt have fleas she has all her shots. I took her to the vet she doesnt have Mange. we did tests and all them came back fine. We started treating her with antifungal the vet said to use but that didnt help either.

We decided to try her on lamb and rice food to see if she was allergic to regular IAMs for toy and small dogs (that is what we were feeding her).

My question is: is this normal? Is there anything I am missing or can I try? Could she be stressing and Im missing something? I try make sure she has all her needs met. Please help! No messing around this is part of my family.

FOOD ALLERGIES!!!!!

you have to figure out what she is allergic too. I used to work for a premium dog food - so I know lots about nutrition.

Look out for wheat, corn and soy. Those are the probable culprits. Iams is not that great. But get the bag and read the ingredients.

BAD STUFF = Corn, Soy, Wheat, by-products. Most food you can buy at the grocery store.

GOOD FOODS = Merrick, Nutro Ultra, Blue Buffalo, Natural Balance. Try a fish and sweet potato flavor. That did wonders for my roommates dog. And Natural Balance - you can get that at PetCo... has a variety specific for allergies.

GENERAL SHEDDING PROBLEMS:

If you are considering ordering NZYMES庐 because your pet sheds we want to assure you that they will be very helpful for your pet. However, shedding is a degenerative problem and can take between 30 to 90 days to start showing improvement (after all the skin is the largest organ of the body).

AFTER BEGINNING NZYMES

In most shedding cases we see a 95% reduction in a pet's regular daily shedding after 4 to 5 months - even in the worst cases. Annual shedding is a normal metabolic process for almost all dogs. However, year-round shedding can be a sign of nutritional deficiencies, which allows the pet's immune system to become weakened. Most often the cause is poor quality pet foods, which are lacking the amino acids, vitamins and minerals or the nutritional ingredients needed to maintain good health.

In the summer time when it's extremely hot here, my dog gets the same thing. My vet refers to them as "hot spots". We keep him bathed in baby bath, because it's so gentle, and if the spots are red and raw, we put neosporin on the spot and wrap it in gauze and bandages.
