I've tried scolding. I've tried stone in the holes. I've tried sprays. I've even tried putting down chicken wire. She just digs up the wire and plays with it. She is an extremely well behaved dog except for this. I'm ready to pull my hair out. I don't even want to let her out the door unless I have the time to stand and watch her like a hawk.

I was told to put their poop in the hole and put dirt and grass on top of it and that will keep them from digging. Let me tell you I had a problem with that a week ago and tried that advice over the w-end and he has yet to dig in those 2 spots. I have not noticed anymore digging anywhere else neither. Good luck! Try buying a sturdy plastic kiddy pool (they are really cheap), fill it with sand and bury a bone in it. Show it to her and let her sniff out the bone. Keep it up (although you may have to keep eplacing the bone!) until she knows to dig there. It worked for me :)

I've done the poop thing. temporary fix. i just refilled all her old holes and when she started digging in one of them again, i poured vinegar on top. she hasn't dug in there since.

Ok I have been taking my dog to training since she was 12 weeks old she is now 1. We go through Doug Morrison. He is amazing. Anyways we have had the same prblem with our lap. This is the solution our triner gave us and it works so well. Take an aluminum can like a beer car, pop can put 4 pennies in it and then tape the lid closed. Dont let your dog see you with it, when your dog starts to dig, throw it at it from behind, its not heavy enough or hard enough to hurt them, but the load noises creates a boogyman, so the dog is afraid to dig b/c of the boogyman we had to throw the can 2 times, and she hasnt dog again, even when shes by her self!!!
