Our dog has a little lump, probably about the size of marble on its side. The other day the hair came off and revealed a sore, not just a lump anymore. It was very red. I had an older dog who also had a lump, but it never became an open sore, and it actually turned out to be a small tumor that we had to have removed. What could this be?

it might be a tumor, have a vet check it out, my aunts dog has the same thing

Only person who can answer this is your vet. Set up an appointment and get it checked out. If it is a problem the sooner it's properly diagnosed the sooner you can start treatment. if it's nothing it will put your mind at rest. if it's not an open sore chances are it does need a vets attention
