I am a 15 year old boy. All my life I have had thick hair, and I never really had a problem with it. Last year, my hair was pretty awesome. My bangs had a natural wave to them and all the girls loved it. Last year, my mom was trying to cut my hair herself. She thought it was too thick. She used my dog's thinning shears to thin it out. Obviously, it didn't work. My hair looked really stupid, uneven, and poofy in some spots. I went to the barber and got it fixed. Since then, I have had about 5 haircuts. (shortest being around 3 inches). My hair has never been the same. It is very wavy and thick. When it grows out, it is uneven and poofy. It is also very dry. I want to grow my hair out to about 7-8 inches long but I can't seem to reach that stage without looking like a freak. My friends say I should shave my head and it'll all grow back fine. What do you think I should do?
How to fix my hair...?
Yes, I would try shaving your hair, but first go to a fancy men's salon and get some feedback.

i hate it when moms do that. my mom cut my hair all through gay elem. school.
i think you should get some product but if not, just live with it. ..... . .. or shave (no)
How to fix my hair...?
i wudnt go as far as shaving your head fully or it could look even worse than it would do long, i think you should get it very short about 1-2 inches but make sure all of your hair is the same length, and if that still doesnt work then you will probably have to shave your head. good luck!

dont shave it, 7-8 inches is pretty long.... it has nothing to do with the dogs thinning shears incident though, you hair is just changind its texture a bit, my hair used to have alot of natural wave, be thick and poofy and darkbrown, now its red/blonde (did this by itself, natural) and dead straight with a flip at the end (i just blowdry it super straight) thin and oily... just let it grow, and if it feels dry, use conditioner
